We had a special sleep over this weekend with Miss Ashleigh.
She had a dance recital last Tuesday night at Layton High School. She was so cute in her costume and she did and excellant job on her dance. She has the moves. We went and got ice cream after. She wanted to have a sleep over with me and grandpa. So we had her come friday night. It was a night just for Ashleigh. After spending some great one on one time with Conrad in Missouri, We decided that it would be fun to take the grandkids one at a time and have a special time with just them. So Ashleigh was the first.
We took her to dinner and let he pick where she wanted to go. It was between Mcdonalds and Wendys. Mcdonalds because they have toys to play on and Wendys because they have chocolate frosties. Wendy's was the place she chose. Food ruled over fun. We had a good time. She was sure that she did not havc enough food when it was brought to the table and wanted to know if she ate it all and was still hungry could she have more. We talked about all kinds of things like fighting with Parker and Max. She said that Parker always starts the fights, then she just gets witchy and fights back and then she picks on Max. She was really excited that she had left her brothers and Katie at home. She felt really special because she was the only one to get to come to our house. We went to Block Bluster and let her pick out a movie to watch. She picked Barbie Mariposa.!!! We went home and watched it. Grandpa escaped up stairs to his office. Me and Ashleigh enjoyed the movie.
When it was time to go to bed she said that she was afraid to sleep alone and Max told her that it was such a special night for her that she would get to sleep with me and grandpa. So she did. It was not the best night's sleep I have ever gotten, Miss Ashleigh is a wiggle worm. She sleeps really soundly but she is in constant motion.
Grandpa made her pancakes for breakfast. after breakfast we painted fingernails, got creative with the play dough and we colored. We had a great time...

How special! Ashleigh is such a funny girl, I was giggling a lot reading that post. "...food ruled over fun...she gets witchy and picks on Max." I'm impressed that you let her sleep with you and Grampy, too!
